An overbite occurs when the top row of teeth extends too far over the bottom row. In many cases, overbites can be fixed by wearing braces or other orthodontic devices. However, in some cases, there are alternatives to traditional braces that may help fix your overbite, such as the use of clear aligners, having surgery to correct an overbite, etc.
When you take out your aligners, your teeth will naturally start drifting back to their original position. While taking your aligners out for an hour to eat a meal or a few minutes to clean the aligner is not that big of a deal, if you do not put the aligners right back in, you will not only not be making progress, you can actually be regressing.

Crossbite. A crossbite [ 8 ] occurs when one or more of the top teeth fit into the bottom teeth. It’s as if the bite is reversed. There are two types of crossbite: anterior (front teeth) and posterior (back teeth). A normal posterior bite has the center of the top teeth resting inside the center of the bottom teeth.
Because the upper teeth moved inward, you are now hitting in the front first, preventing your back teeth from coming together. Second, if you had more crowding on the bottom than on the top, aligning the lower teeth probably moved the lower front teeth further forward than the top ones, and you are now hitting on the lower incisors prematurely.
